Quitting Is Easy!

Quitting Is Easy!

Wow! It has been way too long since I last wrote!

It was just TOO easy to stop.

It’s always too easy to stop.

In fact, I haven’t actually written that much this year.

Most of my writing this year has been updating older content and sending it out to new subscribers.

But then I stopped even that. So easily, without a thought. Poof. Gone.

And it’s not just writing habits that can so easily go by the wayside…

Quitting Is So Damn Easy!

  • Your health.
  • Your relationships.
  • Your hobbies.
  • Your work.

All of them so easily can be discarded.

Without even a thought.

With simply one missed day.

Humans are weird like that.

We default to taking the easy path –> the shortcut.

All of us have been here.

We set a goal, we are well on our way to that goal, and then we just give it up.

Poof. Gone.

But There Is Nothing Wrong With Starting Over

Perseverance, grit, and willpower are essential to success, but the way to improve these qualities is not by wishing you were a more disciplined person, but by creating a more disciplined environment.

 James Clear, Atomic Habits

As James Clear says, willpower will only get you so far.

To be successful in whatever you are pursuing, you must create a better system.

We all quit things.

Our pursuit of becoming healthier.

A side hustle.

We quite quit a job.

Our relationships.

There’s a million different things tugging at us and we just aren’t that good at juggling it all.

But if you really want something, you can get back up on that horse again.

You can start over.

And that is what I am doing TODAY.

I’m starting over. I’m building a better system.

And that is ultimately how ANYONE achieves success.
